Any great business person will tell you that thinking like your customer is essential if you want to make a successful product. But as inventors and product developers know, making something great requires thinking deeply about complicated and surprising details that most customers never want to consider.

How do you balance your initial inspiration with the intricacies of actually building something in the real world and still come out prioritizing your customer's needs and experiences? How do you even know who your customers are? How does anyone find champions for their products?

Course Outline:

Session 1

What is your product or service, and how does it provide value to the customer?

Session 2

Who is your customer, and how big is your target market?

Session 3

Understanding the business metrics, business model, COGS, and inventory.

Session 4

Pitch types, Final forecasting, and next steps to launch the product.

Attendees will rigorously analyze their current products or services and how they benefit their customers. By the end of the deep dive, they will have a verified target market and product direction to test product market fit.

Kyle has been focused on product design and engineering for over a decade. His key area of expertise is medical devices, having been a part of two acquisitions and eight startup company lifecycles. He has been coaching startup teams at the Port Labs since 2021.
