Workshop: Prototype Fundamentals

A 60-minute introductory workshop to the big questions you need to answer when turning a great idea into a prototype

No matter how good an idea seems on paper, you can’t really prove product viability without getting your hands dirty and testing it in the real world with a prototype. Thankfully, prototyping is a skillset like any other: with some dedicated effort, you can learn best practices, get a sense of the fundamentals for most fields, and build up your ability to spot problems early and plan wisely.

If you’ve got a product or invention you’ve been itching to test out in the real world but aren’t sure where to start, this is the workshop for you: Prototype Fundamentals.

Kyle Valiton, Head of the Port Labs Coaching Program and expert in Design for Manufacturing, will lead a 60 minute workshop for participants ready to tackle big questions, like:

  • How do I know if my idea is ready for prototyping?

  • How do I research market practices/standards to ensure I know what I need to build a successful prototype?

  • How do I troubleshoot a viable prototype to completion?

Successful participants in this workshop will automatically qualify for participation in our free June Deep Dive: Prototype Your Product!
